Before founding Fiat Lux Chandeliers, our founder Francis had already spent years honing his craft as an antique lighting restorer and specialist at the renowned Tindles Lighting. It was there that he developed his deep respect for traditional workmanship, his eye for detail, and his enduring passion for preserving the character of historic light fixtures.

In 1997, Francis set out to establish his own workshop, carrying forward the values and expertise that shaped his early career. Fiat Lux Chandeliers began not as a showroom, but as a dedicated restoration workshop trusted by antique traders, collectors, and interior designers who relied on his skill to revive treasured pieces and continue their stories.

As word of his excellent craftsmanship spread, we were invited into some of London and the UK’s finest homes, estates, and heritage interiors. Over the decades, we have served respected antique dealers, high-net-worth clients, celebrated public figures, and leading designers. Yet among all of these, our most meaningful relationships remain with the antique traders who first supported his work, many of whom we have proudly served for generations.

With more than 32 years of specialised technical experience, our on-site workshop continues to be the heart of Fiat Lux. As our reputation grew, so did demand for a trusted source of lighting. In response, our sales department emerged in later years, evolving naturally from the needs of our clients and expanding into the curated, diverse collection of antique and contemporary lighting we offer today.

Now providing nationwide specialist services including installation, meticulous cleaning, rewiring, conversion, and full restoration we remain committed to upholding the tradition, craftsmanship, and integrity that have defined us from the beginning.
